2 Person Interaction Analysis

            To start, the directors’ cues to the 2-Person Interaction that Mike Sheehan and I wrote were not as accurate during filming.  We had to change many of the cues  therefore some of the shots were a bit confusing.  Overall I think the film came out decent.  The music was just on time each time it needed to start and end and the lighting was good on both Lahana and Yudelka.

            Considering the script was intended to be a heated argument, the conversation was quick making it difficult for us directors to cue the cameras exactly on each girl talking.  There were a few incidents when Yudelka would begin talking and the camera was still on Lahana and vice versa. That’s a critical issue while filming and should have been rehearsed a bit better.

            The next issue was when Yudelka needed to get on her knees to speak in a heated matter.  Camera 2 had a hard time following here and panning up and down.  I’m not sure if It was the camera itself that was difficult to maneuver or if whoever was on camera 2 was waiting for a director’s cue to tell her.

            The rest of the film went as planned.  With just a few mess ups that needed to be fixed, we could have rehearsed better with the camera crew so they knew exactly how Mike Sheehan and I wanted the cameras to be positioned with each movement.

Treatment: Modern Couple

         Modern day, younger couples usually do nothing but argue considering all of the distractions we 

have nowadays.  Since most of the time it's comical, watching couples argue over nothing and then 

realizing- we all do it, it'd be a great idea to simply portray a young couple arguing.  Basically, a 

younger woman is nagging her boyfriend claiming he did something to her but she will not tell him 

what.  He is nice to her and keeps asking what he did wrong but she continues to yell at him for no 

reason.  This pitch would really merit men's humor.  Modern Couple depicts how many men 

claim to view their girlfriends or wife as nagging.  This is exactly what this comedy skit will imply- a

 nagging girlfriend for no reason.  Similar to the show, Modern Family, Modern Couple is spin off.

Analysis:

            My production with ‘Justin Bieber’ went as planned.  I wanted more interruptions from ‘Justin Bieber’ (Jarred) to depict how the celebrity presents himself on real interviews. Unfortunately it was too messy to switch cameras back and forth to catch each of us talking.  Because some of the answers were a little dry from the guest, I had to quickly think of something to say. The production was somewhat comical because of the sarcasm. After watching the final film, I think I needed to smile more in the opening scene. I looked lazy.

            The lighting was good through out taping as was the audio. My director (Betsy) did well with the camera switches and placement, especially Camera #3. Camera 3 panned all the way left to capture a better shot of Jarred so I would not be in the picture for his close up and it shows the benefit of the camera movement in the final cut. Camera 2’s roll in and out was not shaky. Overall I think the final cut went well.

News:

A Malaysian Airplane is missing since Saturday, March 8^th.  Coming from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, the flight vanished over the South China Sea urging Chinese officials to scour the waters searching for debris and oil. The airline made no confirmation as to where the plane may have gone and says it is too early to state whether the aircraft went down or not. An official from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam told investigators that the flight never checked in and later lost contact while flying through Vietnamese airspace. Flight MH 370 was carrying 239 passengers including 3 Americans and none of them made it to China.

In local news, TWO CNN PRODUCERS ARE ARRESTED AT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER SITE FOR TRESPASSING. Yon Pomrenze and Connor Fieldman Boals were spotted by police entering into the lower Manhattan site at around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Port Authority police told reporters that Boals later took a second chance by attempting to climb a nearby fence closer to the PATH station. Both men tried pushing through the closed gate and were arrested on criminal trespass and other chargers. CNN confirms both producers were NOT instructed to visit the site.

Celebrity gossip is back: Justin Bieber's latest drag racing incident can be driving him right back to Canada. The young pop star who's home was recently raided by L.A.'s police department- is now facing charges for drug findings and resisting arrest and a DUI after being pulled over for drag racing in Miami Florida.  Justin Bieber’s rep states he will not be forced to move back to Canada therefore none of his “Beliebers” will be disappointed.

In Sports news- many Jets fans are looking for a new team to root for this season. The New York Jets are welcoming Michael Vick as their new quarterback for this upcoming Fall season. Rex Ryan ensures NFL fans this change for the JETS will be their best one yet and tells us Vick has grown as a person and as a player since his latest dog-fighting scandal. Lets hope we can count on it for our Jets Fans..

I'm going to focus on Justin Bieber for my newscast.

Intro: 

Justin Bieber's latest drag racing incident can be driving him right back to Canada. The young pop star who's home was recently raided by L.A.'s police department- is now facing charges for drug findings and resisting arrest and a DUI after being pulled over for drag racing in Miami Florida. 

If Justin Bieber is found guilty of all charges, he could find himself back in Cananda.
